What are zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), and why are they important for BeL2?

Zero-knowledge proofs are cryptographic methods that allow one party to prove to another that a statement is true without revealing any information beyond the validity of the statement itself. In BeL2, ZKPs are used to verify Bitcoin transactions on other chains without exposing sensitive information, ensuring both security and privacy.

What is a zkBTC Full Node?

A zkBTC Full Node is a novel concept introduced by BeL2. It allows an ordinary mobile phone to run a Bitcoin full node using zero-knowledge proofs. This increases the decentralization and security of the Bitcoin network while making it more accessible for users to participate.

What EVM networks are supported by BeL2?

  1. Bel2 is currently supporting integration with Elastos (ELA), facilitating swapping between Elastos (ELA) and Bitcoin (BTC).
  2. BeL2 is aimed to support integration with a wide range of EVM-compatible chains, allowing decentralized applications (dApps) and decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms to leverage Bitcoin's security and liquidity.
